Nabenet hosted their first regional employer seminar at Powerworks, Morwell, on 6/5/09

Gary Rowe, CEO of Safety Action Pty Ltd, an innovative safety consultancy based in Melbourne. Gary is a qualified safety engineer and a Certified Practicing Risk Manager, with over 20 years experience in the Safety industry.

Gary presented on effective safety strategies, including:

Andrew Douglas is the managing director of Douglas Workplace and Litigation Lawyers. Based in Melbourne, Andrew practices in all aspects of workplace law including Industrial Relations, OH&S Workers Compensation, Equal Opportunity, Employment, Privacy and Surveillance law. Andrew acts for some of Australia’s largest companies and regularly appears in Tribunals and Commissions. Andrew is also the Director of several not for profit companies and is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Victoria and VIOSH.

Andrew spoke about major changes in the fair Work Bill – what employers should know before July 1 2009.

Andrew presented about assisting injured workers to return to work, financial implications of injured workers, and the latest trends and risks given the current economic times.
